Day 1 : Cochin /You are greeted on arrival
at the Kochi international airport /railway station and transfer to the
hotel in Cochin better known as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea". Cochin
presents before you the remnants from her glorious days as you move
through Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jew Town, Old
spice market, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Chinese fishing
net. Later in the evening enjoy Kathakali dance presentation. Stay
overnight bat Cochin .
Day 2 : Cochin - Guruvayoor /Morning a city tour. Afternoon to
Guruvayoor . By evening at the famous Guruvayoor temple- one of the most
sacred Hindu pilgrim centers in Kerala. Overnight at Guruvayoor.
Day 3 : Guruvayoor - Wayanad /After breakfast to Wayanad , one of
the most scenic places in Kerala which can still be called as a virgin
landscape. Lofty peaks, gurgling waterfalls and luxuriant forests add
magic to your journey up the winding roads to this hill station. Afternoon
at the Pookot lake for boating. Overnight at the hotel in Wayanad.
Day 4 : Wayanad /To Edakkal caves with packed lunch. Edakkal caves
are prehistoric caves accessible by a soft trek. After lunch to
Soochippara waterfalls- a 3 tiered waterfalls. Return to the hotel by
evening.
Day 5 : Wayanad - Munnar /Morning after breakfast drive to Munnar.
On the way stop at two famous water falls - The Cheeyappara falls & Valara
Falls. By evening at Munnar. Munnar is a small town in the Western Ghats
which is famous for its picture book towns, mist clad hills, sprawling tea
gardens, sanctuaries and above all the climate is one of the most sought
after tourist destination in India today. Spend the rest of the day at the
comfort of the hotel/ resort.
Day 6 : Munnar /After breakfast, visit Mattupetty Dam were you can
enjoy boating through the reservoir flanked with tea garden on one side
and never ending Grass land on the other. Mattupetty is also famous for
its Indo-Swiss live stock project. The Echo point famous for its echo
phenomenon is a famous halting point for the tourists. Your last halt is
Top Station which offers breath taking views of Munnar valley and on a
clear day unto Coimbatore town. Return to the resort and overnight stay.
Day 7 : Munnar - Thekkady /After breakfast move to Thekkady. By
noon at Thekkady famous for its Periyar Tiger Reserve . After lunch and a
short nap proceed to Periyar lake around which the sanctuary is built, for
boating. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique
experience of viewing the wild life at close quarters from the safety of a
boat. By night fall back to your resort with refreshing memories wildlife.
Day 8 : Thekkady - Kumarakam /After breakfast check out and drive
to Kumarakom. Kumarakom in the last decade has grown from a little known
backwater village to a world renowned tourist destination. The serene
atmosphere will sooth your souls and refresh your mind and body. Spend the
night in the luxury of your resort.
Day 9 : Kumarakam - Alleppey /Wake up to the lap of nature. Take a
relaxed breakfast. Then proceed to Alleppey. By noon check in to the
Houseboat for a 20 hour long cruise through the world famous backwaters of
Kerala. Houseboat (Kettuvalloms) is a indigenously developed and designed
private boat with fully furnished spacious bath attached bed rooms,
hygiene kitchen ,dining area and private front deck to capture the beauty
of the back waters. The cruise through palm fringed narrow canals , the
unique life of the backwater people and above all the nature around you
will make long lasting impressions in your mind. Overnight stay in a
houseboat.
Day 10 : Alleppey - Kovalam /After breakfast check out from the
houseboat and proceed to resort/ hotel in Kovalam. By noon check in at the
resort. Spend the rest of the day at this palm fringed beach. A massive
rocky promontory on the beach makes its waters absolutely safe for
swimming and water sports.
Day 11 : Kovalam /Morning after breakfast proceed to Trivandrum.
Visit the famous Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Kuthira Malika- the royal
museum etc . Afternoon back at Kovalam. You can indulge in some ayurvedic
massaging at the resort. Evening at the beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 12 : Kovalam - Kanyakumari /Morning after breakfast proceed to
Kanyakumari- the southern tip of Indian sun continent. Visit Vivekananda
Rock Memorial and witness the majestic sunset. Overnight at Kanyakumari.
Day 13 : Kanyakumari - Trivandrum /Morning after breakfast proceed
to Trivandrum. Visit Napier Museum and Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple in
Trivandrum and proceed to airport / railway station for onward journey.
